Handloom Weaving has been an integral aspect of our Culture since Vedic times. We find various mentions of the techniques, traditions, science & worship related to Ancient Indian Weavers in the Rig-Veda. Records show that these weavers, in addition to being Artisans, were great Philosophers, Scientists & Mathematicians, including the great Sages Gargi & Maitreyi. It is our Goal to see Modern day Weavers restored to this level of Glory & Social respect. This Program, along with being a Celebration for the Glory of Shri Ram, is also the first step in the Ascension of Indian Handloom Weaving to a Global Stage.
